G. Balakrishnan

G. Balakrishnan
Director

Balakrishnan, popularly known as Bala is a graduate in Commerce from Mumbai University and a Diploma in Administrative Management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute.

Bala began his career in CMC (then known as Computer Maintenance Corporation) in the year 1979 and held various responsibilities including setting up education centers on a countrywide basis. In the year 1986 he quit CMC to join Tata Infotech Ltd (then known as Tata Unisys Ltd) and handled responsible positions. His last assignment was as Regional Controller looking after the commercial functions of the Region.

In 1991 he joined Hinditron Informatics Ltd as Dy General Manager (Commercial and Administration) at an all India level. He was instrumental in introducing several new systems and procedures. In 1993 he joined Naresh Desai who was also serving Hinditron at that time to form Ontrack.

Currently in Ontrack, Bala is responsible for Sales, Finance, Admin, Commercial and HR functions. He is also responsible for the IBM relationship. Bala is today well known in the IT industry and among partner community.

Naresh Desai is Director and co-founder of Ontrack Solutions Pvt. Ltd and is based out of Mumbai. Naresh has an engineering degree in Electronics & Communications and has been an IT Professional for the last 20 years. He started his career as a Customer Services Engineer at Hinditron Computers Pvt Ltd in Mumbai and was Deputy General Manager when he left the company in 1993 to start Ontrack together with G. Balakrishnan.

Naresh is an ardent follower of new trends in Information Technology and his vision is to position the company as a world class IT Solution Provider and Systems Integrator.

Naresh oversees the areas of Product Management, Marketing and Customer Services at Ontrack and spearheads the entire value added Solutions initiatives including Security, Access Technology, Messaging, Storage as well as Enterprise Systems Management. Naresh is an avid cricket fan and also a swimming and water sports enthusiast.

Ontrack Solutions in the IBM TSM Express BP Steering Council

Ontrack Solutions is an active member of the IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Express Business Partner Steering Council whose mission is to engage IT storage professionals in dialogue and action to shape future product development and meet the needs of the market. Naresh Desai (Director) represents Ontrack Solutions in this Steering Council.

   
Ronald Fernandes

Ronald Fernandes, known as Rony, is VP Sales for Ontrack and spearheads the Total Sales Management for all the locations. He has joined Ontrack from Nov 2004. His academics include MMM & DMM from Jamanalal Bajaj Institute and Bachelor of Commerce from Bombay University.

Rony’s experience spans 2 decades in the I.T. Infrastructure, Services, Software and BPO industries. He commenced his career in 1984 with an OEM Manufacturing company and moved on in 1986 to join Chowgule Industries Ltd., as a Sales Executive. His role was in sales of Personal Computers in the corporate and SMB segments.

In 1988 he joined Minicomp Ltd., a top 20 I.T. Hardware company with its own manufacturing unit for PC and Servers under the Minicomp brand. He was responsible for the sales and all India marketing functions.

He quit Minicomp in 1994 and commenced operations for Microware Infotech (India) Pvt. Ltd., with Full P&L Accountability. He was responsible for Business Development, Sales and HR functions & was instrumental in growing the company to three geographic locations.

He then commenced his Consultancy operations in 2002 and was providing business development consultancy for a leading distributor in Thin Client technology.

In 2003 he joined Fin-e-ssential Infotech India Ltd., (FIIL - FileMyReturns) as GM – Business Development. At FIIL, He was accountable for the BPO businesses in Payroll Outsourcing, Tax Returns filing, eTDS Returns filing, Benefits and HR Outsourcing. He was instrumental in the eTDS New Line of Business where he initiated, developed and delivered 2 cycles of eTDS Returns filing for the Corporate and Government segments. From FIIL he has now moved to Ontrack.

   
Sunil Golani

Sunil Golani is Chief Technology Evangelist with Ontrack Solutions and has been associated with Ontrack and the industry for about 10 years now.

Sunil is very zealous about Information Technology as a subject and loves to share his knowledge on the same and totally believes that IT can make life easier for individuals and enterprises alike.

His role involves evangelizing on various IT infrastructure technologies and architecting solutions for enterprise customers. While Sunil’s knowledge domain spreads across various technologies, he is most enthused when talking on IT security, its design and implementation challenges. Sunil has held various job roles in Ontrack including Customer Support, Professional Services and has handled large deployments around Storage, Perimeter Security, Virtualization, Server based computing and Collaboration solutions.

Sunil also spearheads the company’s new technology adoption initiatives and keeps a check on the emerging technology areas which will help Ontrack provide its customers the latest and the best in this swift industry.

   
Prithipal Singh Ahluwalia

PPS Ahluwalia is a Customer Service professional with 19 years rich experience in IT Hardware & BPO industry. Popularly known as Peoples Man, PPS is reputed for his man management skills. He completed M.Sc. (Electronics Science) from Pune University in 1986.

PPS began his career as a Field Support Engineer in Eiko Computers Pvt. Ltd. in 1986 and grew to Branch Manager, Delhi during 9 years. He joined IT&T Ltd., Delhi in 1995 and moved out as Zonal Manager (Customer Support) in Dec1997. Progressive Infotech was formed in Jan1998 in Delhi, and PPS was instrumental in setting up the entire support infrastructure of Progressive.

In Nov2000, PPS got an opportunity to move over to Mumbai. He worked with PCS Industries Ltd. for 4 years as Zonal Manager (IT Services) and handled various countrywide customer support assignments. Thereafter, he had a brief stint in a BPO, Sutherland Global Services, which provided him an exposure to the booming outsourcing industry.

In Ontrack, PPS is operating as Dy. General Manager (Customer support) and heads the Customer Support Group (CSG) and the Ontrack Professional Services Group (OPSG). While CSG takes care of routine IT support activities, OPSG focuses on execution of specialized turnkey IT Solutions & Projects. Owing to his BPO experience, PPS lays substantial importance on Soft Skills of support professionals in addition to their Technical skills.
